Wound up with those wheels in 16's with a 265/70/16 Cooper Discoverer AT3 tires....

They were finally delivered today and I love how it looks

To my knowledge Magnaflow and Gibson are the only ones who make bolt on kits for this body style Explorer. I hear better things about Magnaflow than Gibson. From what I hear Gibson is quite loud typically and I really don't want it to be very loud.

Why not get one custom made?

I prefer stainless steel over alumized steel. Even though it'd be years before rust would be a problem in CA. Anytime I look at one of the exhaust shops specials the rust is terrible on them and especially on the welds.

And went back to the stock wheels today Went from getting 15-17mpg without too much effort to struggling to get 14.5 with lots of highway driving. They also really killed the power, to the point of when I was towing a 3000lbs trailer I was stuggling to get to speed timely.

Yup, rotating mass and circumstance kills speed.

Had a buddy with a Jeep, lifted it, did a bunch of stuff....couldn’t back jet skis up a small incline driveway because of his stupid huge tires.

Yeah I expected some but I figured it wouldn't be too bad going from 29.5" to a 30.5". However the new tires are 9lbs heavier than the old ones, which I suspect made it far worse. Now to decide if I'm going back stock 245/65/17 or the smaller size I was originally considering 255/70/16

Or sell it for either a 2015 Hyundai Genesis Sedan 3.8 or 2016ish Mazda6
