adds 4-5 psi of boost without the ecu seeing it. That way it doesn't void the warranty. Seems pretty sketchy to me since I don't see how the ECU can compensate for more air flow

Maybe it's not seeing a boost set point increase, just an airfow increase?

The ECU will still see the extra airflow through the MAF. But since you didn't reflash the actual ECU, there's no reflash codes or counters logged.

The amount of data these German cars keep in their ECUs makes a typical Mitsubishi look like an abacus.

I'm fairly certain this model year ditched the MAF.

And I know the ecu doesn't see the increase in pressure since the guy had a boost gauge on it that read off of the ecu. It showed no difference after the power module was hooked up.

Kinda how mine works. It intercepts the data between the ECU and the sensors and such.

Everything I can find says the S3 uses a Bosch MED 9.1 ECU, which is the same MAF based system that's in my S5. :d ontknow:

I'm not sure where the sensor would be then.

That's a good question. Looks like the info I found may have ended with the 2013 redesign.

Blue car, blue belts. I think it'd be a neat design accent.

Colored seatbelts are a factory option on high end Porsches and are also available to Audi via the Exclusive program. It is not rice.

Well stupid me. I guess I'm still hung up on the idea that rice mods are non-functional and/or detrimental mods that make your car look like something it is not. Like putting Type R badges on a civic or slamming your car so badly that the suspension fails.

I guess I'd better write off the RS5-style mesh grille idea. I wouldn't want to be accused of being a ricer
