I’ve looked at all my relays, none said wiper motor? I would love some insight on where?

It’s built in the column switch nvm. Only thing I can think is the motor is bad like Jeff said, or there is a break in the wires somewhere. I know you can hot wire the motor to run, but I had the same issue with one of my radiator fan motors. It wouldn’t turn on with the AC or when the coolant temp got high enough, but worked fine hot wired. Replaced the motor, problem solved.

I hit the motor with a rubber mallet the other day, I can swap it out easy enough again to check it. I would think if that was the case the rear would work and the rear doesn’t.

Check the fuse again, maybe you have a short and the fuse keeps blowing too. Fuse 9 in the junction block controls all the wiper stuff. So if either motor, either washer motor etc are shorting out, it could keep blowing the fuse.

The fuse has never blown. During all of this. I think I have changed it over 10 times too. Even though it tests good, looks good, I change it with another.

I’m gonna do the motor tomorrow with a known good one I have, I may have last time just unplugged the old one and plugged in the new one...:which would leave the ground undone. Then when we forced the motor to run it worked for a while, like a starter that was hit, but eventually failed.

At least it’s a working theory.

Fully hooked up my second wiper motor...same thing. Nothing. Still no wipers.

Start checking continuity of wires. Try seeing if you’re getting power at fuse 9 to start with. Maybe you’re not even getting power to the fuse

Sadly....even doing that is beyond my electrical ability. I will try to do the trouble shooting in the manual, maybe it’s wrote for idiots

Do you have a multimeter?

If so pull the fuse, stick the leads in with the multimeter set to voltage. It’ll show 12v or -12v if you have the leads swapped. If it doesn’t, something is wrong.

You can't just stick the leads in to test - you need a ground on the other end of the tested circuit.

Put the negative probe on a bare metal part of the car, like under the dash, and then the positive probe in the fuse socket should give you +12v when the ignition is on in one of the two fuse sockets. The other one will show zero volts since it is connected to the wiper motor side of the circuit.

This might give you some ideas for how to check the wiper motor:

It is for a Saturn, but there should be similarities. Look in your service manual to figure out what pins on the motor are what function.

You’re right. I was thinking relay, since I was just doing that the other day. Do what Matt said.
