Mike, That would be a ton of fun! Your earlier comment that my run was full kill was mistaken. Not scared. :D

Hype. Bench racing. Begin.... I have at least that sir. This turbo has been proven for 1000awhp at ~50psi and decent back pressure into 55psi. I was running 34 for 9.9 run.

Tried 45-(dropping to 43) but kept blowing off intercooler couplers. I can't wait for a clean run at that boost after making more robust connections. It was much more powerful! 9.9 as you know isn't really that quick or even feel that quick. Big difference in feel with more boost. Super excited.

The 4G and 2Jz have had billions of research poured into them..same as the LS line of engines. It's the combination of parts that are proven..

Boost is relative. :)

in my case, if I add a cam to my car this week she'll make more power at 9psi than I do now at 14psi. If I add meth she'll make more power at 7psi than I do at 10psi. It's just a measure of restriction really..

If I take my filter off it makes 17psi.

I don't get hung up on Boost.

For your couplers, try out constant tension couplers. I run 4" units off of a diesel truck. They are $12 each at Napa.
For my setup, boost is relevant. I'll just simplify, I have enough turbo and fuel for another 200hp. Possibly more if I push but think I may need a mechanical pump to go higher since it would be pushing the head pressure on the twin 450's at my current 50 base FP plus 50+ psi.

Thanks for the suggestion on couplers. I'll look into it. I might just need different clamps. T bolt might not be best.

T bolts aren't. They were a fad.

So those breeze clamps the consensus for 40-50psi? That saves me a lot of work for vband or similar.

Im honestly not sure about that, but I dont see why it wouldnt. They are supposedly the best option. Maybe look into what HD diesel guys use? those guys run way more than 50psi

Thanks for the link on the constant tension clamps!

I ran into issues at 30psi with my pipes blowing off. Those look like a good fix..and a hell of a lot cheaper than the T-Bolts I'm running now.

Not V-band. Wiggins clamps. You need some flex in the joints or you'll be cracking things.

But if the constant tension clamps work for your application, for sure do that before any other complicated (expensive) solution.
