Eh you do better than most with project cars.

I have lots I work with that talk or have one sitting around. Then wanna bash on my 3/s when I had it apart in my house. I just look at them and say, I did what I had to do to finish mine…where is yours? Then again with the model A. It’s hard with project cars as the amount of time and money it takes to keep moving forward sucks. Life kicks you, there are always other things to do….but you have to stay focused.

I do NOT miss my Monti. That thing was a turd.

Anyone want an auto from a 06 Eclipse? Ran when plucked. Id give it away for noting at this point. Don't want it around.

I never wanted it. The wrecking yard pulled both and was trying to sell as a package. After nobody biting on it for nearly a year they dropped the price, so i grabbed it.

Is this the 3.8 that bolts into the vr4? Or that one that requires a ton of work?

It bolts into any 6g7* engine bay. Although transverse its much easier with the motor mounts, oil pan, accessories and all. The short is yes it has the same bell housing as any other similar era Mitsubishi v6.

Is the transmission not on the wrong side?

Transmissions are on opposing sides (3k vs Eclipse), but their motors turn in the same direction and have all the same core 6g7* mounting locations (minus some bosses for engine mounts on the block). The only struggle is the oil pump location. Its exactly in the way of the front axle and would need an immediate rerouting.

Upgraded the horn as it sounds like a mouse. Figured id try Harbor Freight ones so i installed them in the stock location. I guess they only come in red. At least they are louder.

Saw this Pajero at the meet as well. I still want, but don't know if i prefer it over my "square body". Something about the hard chiseled lines and minimalistic design gets me.

I like that style a lot. Part of me still wants a Pajero Evo.

You should get one, with all the crap weather you get in the winter. That would be fun to drive. I dont think you can get one under $25k anymore though.
