Been seriously thinking of upgrading to the full roll cage (race chassy). It's $800 more and adds about 250 lbs.
Couple reasons why. Main one being safety. Another being that it will be easier to mount a windshield to the car so I can be road legal.
Projects for the windshield for the sport chassy are looking to cost $1200-$1500! It's cheaper to get the roll cage and make my own windshield. Pa law doesn't care if you use safety glass or clear acrylic. Just need a place to put the inspection sticker.

Differences.
It looks really bad ass in person too.
The race chassis also comes with welded in steel floors instead of riveted aluminum. Again, more weight but much more rigidity. Also means less work for me to do.

Any accident would suck but yes. I picked up a Helmet from Mitoska during NG. Practicality of this thing is that like a motor cycle with 4 wheels.

I'd go for the race.
This thing it going to be a track only car pretty much. The full cage would just make me feel more grounded in the car and it looks awesome too.
It would also force you to wear your helmet basically every time you drive the thing, which is not a bad idea anyways.
