Yeah if go dyno tuned it's almost always better than a street tune.

You all laugh, but the LS3 is known to have factory oil pan gasket issues, and most end up leaking. Mine has a really slow seep, last time I was under it.
So yes, probably a little oil on them, but no, no other coatings. Most on the Corvette Forum don't worry about coating. I also live in an area where corrosion is almost nonexistent. Plenty of room as well under the hood to heat doesn't seem to be much of an issue. Not like it will be in slow traffic or seeing a ton of track time either. I have my tunnel covered in a heat shield so interior heat won't be bad either.

Shocks, end links, intake done. Removed spark plugs, wires, dip stick tube in prep to drop exhaust.
Tomorrow I'll drop the stock manifolds and cats then install the long tubes.
Should be able to fire it up tomorrow afternoon.

I love a west coast car. 16 year old car with 65k on it and no rust anywhere. Everything comes apart so easily.

Surprised you have enough room to do all that without pulling the motor.

Plenty of room under the hood of a vette actually.

Literally the first start up and revs. New exhaust always smokes. Once it warmed up more it stopped smoking.

Some if it is just plain old exhaust too. It's just more obvious with no cats or mufflers to trap it before it exits the pipe.
