Have to say, only thing I’m not liking about my escape (that has pretty close to those HP numbers, and WAY better gas mileage) is the seats. GM does seats very well but the equinox has a smaller seat IIRC than the trucks. I test drove one....I was sad.

I don't fit well, I fold myself in. I'm just shy of 5'11" and you don't find in a NA/NB Miata if you're over 5'8"

Oh and bedsides the trucks and full size suv there is only 1 Ford I fit in comfortably. Mustang. Sat in a GT350 tonight. Fit well and the seats were ok. Do not fit in older or newer escape, edge, focus, etc.

The biggest problem I have with cars is getting my legs comfortable and still being able to reach the steering wheel comfortably. Because my legs are pretty long for my height a telescoping steering wheel is almost a must for me.

Done. Don't like it. Just like Honda seats, Ford seats kill my back if I sit in it over an extended period of time.

I have the same issue. I am only 5'9" but my legs are long for my height so I constantly struggle to find a comfortable position, especially in a manual car.

So here we go - marked the ones that stood out for me both bad and good based on my initial list.

Do not fit comfortably in:

2017 Jeep Cherokee - overall uncomfortable in both upper body and lower. But really bad upper.
2017 Ford Edge - not enough leg room. Upper body was meh, but legs were super cramped.
2015 GMC Acadia - the dead pedal was in a bad place. Could not extend my left leg which would be problems on longer drives.
2015 Jeep Grand Cherokee - this was a surprise since I owned an older one, but upper body was bad. Worse that the volt.
2015 Audi Q5 - too tight all around
2012 Ford Escape - same problem as with all fords. Seats are meh, upper body is kind of tight, but lower body area is shit for me. Very uncomfortable.

2017 Buick Encore - all around way to small in every aspect.
2017 Subaru Crosstrek - this could have been put into the fit OK category, but would not be able to handle on longer drives.
2016 Acura MDX - same issue with all Hondas - no leg room, at all. My XJ is more comfortable in the leg area.
2011 Kia Sorento - too tight in upper body
2016 Kia Sorento - too tight in upper body
2017 Nissan Rogue - hit head on roof, no leg room.
2018 Mitsu Outlander Sport - same issue with most, leg room was a joke.
2017 Mitsu Outlander - same issue with most, leg room was a joke. Literally sit in, close door and immediately need to get out.
2017 Toyota RAV4 - again, same issue as with most of these small crossovers. Just too small inside. Jammed against door, not enough leg room, etc.
2013 Chevy Equinox - lower body was good, upper was not.
2017 Chevy Traverse - same issue as with the Acadia above. Dead pedal in bad place and overall just not that comfortable.
2013 Honda CR-V - only thing I fit in worse was the damn Fiat. Hondas suck major balls all around for me.
2015 Volvo XC60 - this surprised me. Upper body was fine, but the way the door and center stack was designed would bother my legs. Sharp points digging in.
2018 Chevy Equinox - BOOOOO - this was a major disappointment for me. Upper body was crammed in like a fucking sardine. Rest was great, but damn it sucked.
2012 Hyundai Santa Fe - same old leg room and upper body room issues.
2018 Honda Pilot - Actually for a Honda my upper body was OK - but legs - maybe if they stopped at my knees.
2013 Nissan Frontier - HA - on 2nd though, this might have been the 2nd worse behind the Fiat.
2017 Ford Flex - upper body was fine, but again, seats didn't go back far enough to allow for proper leg room and the seats themselves were not that comfortable.


Fit OK in but might be a problem on longer drives:

2017 Impreza Sport - might have been because I was suprised at how roomy it was and was easy it was to get in and out that left me thinking it was OK, but not sure how I would handle longer times in it. I put the Crosstrek in no so this should be there too I would think, but it was the first thing I sat it, so might be a bit biased?


Fit comfortably in:

2017 Chevy SS - wasn't great, but could fit well for longer drives for sure. Getting in/out was easier than the Volt, but for the price, not AWD, etc. just not worth it honestly. But it was nice to see I fit in it.
2017 Subaru Outback - arguably one of the most comfortable and useful of all things I sat in. Enough room to be comfortable for longer driver, great cargo capacity, fold flat back seats, etc. Probably in the top couple for me. This and the forester were also fairly easy for me to get in/out of as well. Which is important.
2016 Toyota 4Runner - for a Toyota I fit comfortably enough. Too bad MPG is too low and they fetch a hefty premiums price tag here.
2017 Subaru Forester - same as outback. Not quite as comfortable, but would be liveable. Biggest issue though was the rear seats don't fold flush with the rear floor and no as much horizontal room as the outback, but there is more vertical room, overall smaller, sit higher, etc. If it was down to this and the outback it would be a hard call.
2018 VW Tiguan - always fit surprisingly well in the VW. Not as good as the Subaru but good enough I would consider it. Issue comes down to reliability, maintenance, etc.
2015 VW GTI - same as with Tiguan, but if I fit in a GTI I fit in a Golf R - :d err:
2017 Camaro SS - like the Chevy SS, fit well, could do long drive, etc. But outward visibility, holy shit they are not kidding, it is the WORST. And of course if I would get a Chevelle over this any day.
2015 Mercedes GLA250 - probably the biggest surprise of the day for me. Overall very comfortable and roomy. But reliability, maintenance, etc would scare me based on how many miles I will be putting on it.
2018 Hyundai Tucson - Surprised me as well. Pretty damn comfy. But not a fan of styling and hyundai in general. For the money I would rather get something else on the list.
2017 GMC Terrain - not sure why I fit in this one better than the Equinox since pretty much same thing. Not great, but better. Enough I could live with it if I had to and the cargo area was nice.
2018 Kia Stinger - I fit like I do in the Volt. Comfortable enough that I would consider it. But low ground clearance and the fact that they are $ for the AWD GT versions keeps it out of the equation. But nice to know I fit so might be something I would look at buying down the line.
2013 GMC Sierra 1500 - had to sit in it. Yes I am comfortable. It is a full-size GM truck after all. But poor MPG keeps me away.
2017 GMC Acadia - Very comfortable. Probably in the top 1-2 along with the Subaru Outback.
2017 Ford Mustang GT350 - I kind of expected to not be that comfortable in this since I also sat in a 2015 Mustang and although I fit I would not have been comfortable for longer drives. This GT350 though was all around VERY comfortable. Must have been the seats, but leg room, upper body, etc were definitely livable. Of course I am not going to buy a $50k car, but it really surprised me. And my back probably would hate me after a long time as well since a Ford, but if I had to pick between this, a new Camaro, and a new Challenger, it would be this all damn day every day. Comfortable. Easy to see out. Etc.

So the only thing on my list that I did not get to see/sit in is the Mazda.
