I mistook GVWR: 1,990kg (4,387lbs). 4 adult men and some baggage and you're going to be close to that GVWR.

it's still heavy for a hatchback and it's ugly as sin.

an STI will save you 500lbs and not be ugly. :cool:

Dig a little deeper in the searches you provided and you'll see the curb weight of the current VA STi is listed as 3390lbs on the 2nd link of your Google search.

On a side note my coworker has a Subaru Spec B with the Japanese front end conversion. Just found that out today when he drove it to work.
