Quiet at idle, screams when you get on it. Engine definitely likes being able to breathe with the higher flowing exhaust too. Feels smoother and more powerful.

Time to hit the streets!

Had it out for about an hour last night to make sure after it was a full temp that no leaks were happening. Didn't hear, feel, or smell any. Still really want to put a better transmission in, but in 1st you can easily spin the 1 tire.

You'll have plenty of transmission options to choose from when you're ready. You going to keep it a one legger, or go posi eventually?

I want to go posi, but the wife doesn't care. It is a 10 bolt open dif with a 2 speed powerglide transmission. She just wants a cruiser so don't really need more than that. Eventually I might swap in a th350 or 400 and swap in a 12 bolt posi, but not an immediate need. Especially at the lower power levels of a pretty much stock sbc 350.

Oh i didn't know you had the 2 speed. Yea, get that updated. Skip the th350 and get the trusted 400. You'll be going that way anyways...as this project will continue to progress . TH350s are not that great. Let the rear axle come later as its not as important as getting up to speed and cruising at somewhat of highway speeds.

Put the ZF8 speed in

if theyre gonna keep a basic reliable small block might as well go with the lighter trans. at the most i would go to a 700r4.
