I should get custom plates that say SHHH

Creeping closer and closer..

And now I wait. 2-3 months before I will get my hands on them. On national backorder.

Just a cosmetic thing, but if any of you come across a LS7 air intake for a decent price in your random browsing, let me know. Exact same as the LS3 but gets rid of the big ugly resonator on the side.

Picked one up for $100.

Also found someone selling gen 2 morimoto taillights for less than 1/2 retail so bought them too.

Really can't think of anything else I'd do to it at this point.

Would like to get it on a dyno once everything is done to see what kind of numbers it's putting down

New mats showed up while I was out of town.

Got and swapped in a LS7 intake instead of the LS3. Same basic design, just gets rid of the resonator. Frees up room under the hood and helps air flow a little bit. Was able to grab one super cheap off the vette forum.

You can see the resonator in these two images:





Here are the intakes side by side:



New one installed. You can see how much more room there is without the resonator. So much easier to get in there and check on things and work on things. Might also make it a little louder and flow a little better without the resonator.





That big space is where the supercharger will go if I end up going that route.

Now you have room for your train horn.

My morimoto tail lights were delivered today. Was able to get a set of gen 1 direct for 50% off retail price. Most still go for $500+. Got these for $200 shipped.

I agree, the sequential is not as nice. The sequential would’ve been better if the they made it each light sequential. Like both light up, inside off, outside off, repeat.

I'm kind of torn on those lights vs stock..

I was too. Like I would not pay full retail price for them. But for $200 I couldn't pass on it. If I end up not liking them in the longer term I can easily sell them for double that.

Close call but i think i like the new ones a little more. Are the new ones Blaring Bright?

Definitely brighter. Not sure if I would call them blaring bright. Apparently gen 2 are MUCH brighter so I was glad to find a gen 1.

Are they brighter than your reverse lights? Almost looks like it in your photo.

Yes. Stock reverse lights on laughably bad on the C6. It is a common complaint. It is very common to upgrade them. I have debated on it. Apparently they are like 250 lumens at best.

Ehhhh. I like stock. They are iconic. Don’t know if I like the “update” look. But if you are happy. That’s what matters.
