Gonna throw out an edge or escape. Wife has edge, I have escape. The titanium versions are very comfy and decent awd systems. Mine with the 2.0 turbo will strait up move. And I can get 28mpg with a smart foot.

Hardest part with that is a couple of the crossovers on the list I am looking at have been recently redesigned so interiors are different. (Tiguan, Equinox, Forester that I know of)

I know I fit in the Forester fine. Sat in a 2019 at the autoshow as was surprised that I fit as well as I did. Same with Crosstrek. Not great, but better than I thought I would. Had a 2013 Tiguan for a bit, but haven't been in the redesigned. Drove an older Equinox before we leased the Soul. Haven't been in the new one. As for Kia - haven't been in anything other than the Soul and Niro. Toyota - they just redid the RAV4 but haven't even been in one - old or new.

If I have time I will go out this week to Carmax. We have two of them here. Both keep their doors unlocked.

If seats are anything like the Mustang I had or the F-150 I test drove, then it is a big nope for me. Older escapes and edge I did not fit in even when I was smaller. New Explorer I do, but again, back HATES every Ford I have been in.

As far as warranty - Carr Auto Group out here offers free lifetime powertrain warranty on all new stuff and quite a bit of used stuff as well.

Oh and you will like an older Acura MDX or Pilot as well. Wider cars for bigger peeps.

Why not lease? Not planning on keeping it long term. Will put too many miles on it in too short of time to keep long term. I'd be upside down quick unless I get something super cheap.

Leases only make sense if you plan to buy at the end, or are OK with always having a car payment.

...and paying a higher APR than a conventional loan.

Making a list of what is out there that is not a Ford, Chrysler, or Honda product.

2017+ VW Tiguan (redesigned. Had an older one I liked, but new one of course would be better)

Right now, based on reviews and what I can find online. Crosstrek, Forester, Equinox, Sportage, CX-5, Tiguan are the top of the list. But we will have to see how I fit.

Beth leases. She has no interest in keeping a car long term, likes having a new car and frankly the car payment is a non issue for her hah.

Scratch off anything German or ChinaSwedish due to maintenance cost and complexity.
