My dad had a Model A when he was 16. He spent one summer taking it apart, restoring it, and putting it back together, piece by piece. He told me it was the easiest car he had ever worked on

Yeah. There are lawnmowers now that are more complex than the flathead four.

Technically they are measure the same as any other engine, except instead of pistons, they have rotors

Rotarys are either 2/3/4 rotors with a 2 rotor being stock

What he is talking about it taking the rotary engine out and replacing it with a V8, cause the RX7 is one hot fucking car

My realistic dream project is a 1960 Chevy Vette. My dad took it apart before I was born, not sure why other than to rebuild the motor.. lol, but he ended up only rebuilding the motor and keeping the car stored since.

I want to build it back up with stock parts that we have, and then upgrade the suspension/brakes/trans and TT'ing it

I don't know if I will ever actually mod it past stock, but its a fun idea. Only problem with it is you can't actually read the VIN number on the frame due to surface rust.

Don't.
Buy a C6 and have all the fun you want with that, this car should be reserved for vibrating the panties off the passenger.

You know which way I voted. I just realized that I've owned mine for over 1/3 of my life, now... This is bad.

careful with that vette. my aunts dad used to have 1. numbers matching everything and in pieces. garage burned down and in the end there was a nicely warped frame with fiberglass melted all around it.

Yikes. My dad has owned this one for over 25 years and is the second owner.. problem is that there is no VIN number on the column (that we can find) and the frame is surface rusted.. it should be numbers matching.. but we don't 100% know.

the fiberglass unibody is in perfect shape though, and the engine was rebuild 20 years ago and has been sitting wrapped up in plastic and still seems to be covered in the grease (or whatever they put on after a rebuild 20 years ago, lol).. so I have no idea what to think of its actual shape

It will be a fun project, just can't start working on it until my dad builds a garage at his house, and he can't do that until he closes the already open building permit..
