I actually like the wood trim a lot in some of the cars, but I'd never want it in a sports car.

You're stuck with wood trim in pretty much all luxury cars these days, but you can option it out of the 3 series, CTS, and C-class and get a plastic in it's place

For an additional 10-15k, they'd better be nicer.Take a look at the IS350 for instance, or the new 3 series interiors.
Let's look at stuff in the same price range and market segment.
2008 Lexus IS:

2008 Cadillac CTS

2008 Toyota Camry

2008 Chevy Malibu

2008 Ford Fusion

2008 Toyota Tundra
2008 Chevy Silverado

2008 Ford F150 (note that the F150 is supposed to be getting a modest overhaul for 2009. We should be seeing pics in the next 2 weeks)

I think GM and Ford are doing just fine. Chrysler on the other hand...
2008 Dodge Magnum

Yeah, Chrysler is a fuckin Joke...they really fell off the wagon as far as interiors go. I liked all of GMs offerings, Most of Ford was okay (their SUVs were kinda lame), but Chrysler...yech...hated them.
Nissan was lame, Toyota/Honda were decent...BMW was decent, Mercedes I liked quite a bit.

I'll have a full report on product offerings once I go to the 2008 Detroit Auto Show

I don't know why they had the LA Autoshow early this year, it's usually mid-end of january...so I guess I got to see a lot of the stuff "early". I was happy, there were a lot of good new offerings to check out

They moved it up so they wouldn't be overshadowed by Detroit (The North American International Auto Show).I don't know why they had the LA Autoshow early this year, it's usually mid-end of january...so I guess I got to see a lot of the stuff "early". Most of the big North American introductions come at Detroit/NAIAS. Chicago and LA are both trying hard to get that title away from Detroit. Given that Porsche has opted out of Detroit this year, and our convention center is a crowded cave, Chicago has a real shot at overtaking us

Not gonna read through the whole thread...but I like it, its not bad. The only thin I dont like are the two circular 4-way arrangements for the climate control...They have those on a Nissan SUV (or Toyota, I think), and they are really cheesy so I get that connotation when I look at em on the Maro.

Yeah, every year Porsche has always taken over an entire room in LA< it's really cool. They do a whole setup every year with music and stuff to make an "experience". When the 997 came out, they had every every version of the 911 in a timeline up to the new 997, was bad ass

Re: Crystal clear interior pics of the new Camaro
Im honestly not a fan of the interior design at all on the camaro
Re: Crystal clear interior pics of the new Camaro
Now, thanks to Maximum Bob Lutz wanting to crush the car paparazzi, GM has declared all development Camaros will go nekkid into the world.
Ed Pepper (General Manager for Chevrolet) is encouraging fans to send in photos if they see one on the road, and they've provided the first non-camo picture

I really don't like it. That first pic in this thread looks somewhat okay but this one
awful. But it's all subjective I guess, a LOT of people think the GT-R is ugly and I love it.

Re: Crystal clear interior pics of the new Camaro
wow I like it!
Re: Crystal clear interior pics of the new Camaro
I dont like the steering wheel its more oval shaped then it is round looking. Dash isn't that bad. Middle console area I like where the vents are for the heat / ac nice and big...it doesn't wow me though. My Mustangs interior wows me...I will post a pic up on the your car thread.

Re: Crystal clear interior pics of the new Camaro
A friend of mine got an 08 GT black on black on black on black. Even the trim rings around the vents are black, right from the factory. I was pretty impressed he was able to spec out the car that way.
Supposedly the 09 or 10 Mustang is going to be getting a big interior overhaul to go with the planned exterior overhaul. I'm excited to see what they come up with. Supposedly they're going to get the front end more in line with the Giugarrio Concept.

I honestly think I like the current front end better. It looks aggressive as hell, especially on the GT500.

Re: Crystal clear interior pics of the new Camaro
Eh, the current model needs a body kit to look good. It lacks any aggressiveness in plain form.

I'm holding out for the new Challenger.
WITH a 6 speed, and they've got to come out with a convertible version.
Make mine Plum Crazy Purple.

3800lbs and as big as a Magnum WAGON.I'm holding out for the new Challenger.
No thanks.
On size alone, the Camaro and Mustang will be more athletic cars. Not that I can afford either one right now
