Brakes todaaaaaaaay
I drove truck 60 miles last night, its pretty good besides pulling to the right a little, alignment should fix that. Engine power is ok, and people think the engine sounds very smooth.

Worked till 1:00am tonight, but today I got good done.

New glasspack muffler welded in. Sounds AWESOME on this engine and to have the leak fixed.

Front brakes completely overhauled. Calipers off and caliper rebuild kits. New Raybestos rotors and semi-metalic pads. New brake fluid. Brakes good now.

I think I have a bad wheel bearing that still makes noise. Also a bad component in the front steering that makes a clicking sound once when turning the wheels for left turn.

Maybe a bad wheel/hub assembly?

they appear to be wheel bearings similar to ones on my Cavalier I did, just axle nut & 3 bolts to take out, unit comes off.

I am not too sure about the Comanche, but I know on the XJ it is an entire enclosed assembly, wheel bearings and hub. Not that cheap of a part either, about $140 or so if I remember right. Pain in the ass to get off too if they were never changed. A slide hammer or gear puller will come in handy. There are a few other tricks out there you can try too.

It is just a axle nut and 3 bolts, but they are known to be a REAL pain in the ass to take off, especially on older, rusted, Jeeps.

I know, used bearings-who knows...
but I did exactly that on Cavalier wheel bearings and that got me by.

Those 2 yards have LOTS of the Cherokees.
