Nice find, that was cool. Had to have been Nelson's car. He's the only one with enough money to mount a camera in there - LOL

Our professor showed us a video like that in my ME444 (auto engines) class. Except it was a camera mounted in the piston, and in a diesel engine. It was sweet cause you could see the diesel fuel coming in and igniting when the pressure got high enough.

Very high cool factor you can even see the spark plug fire.

Me thinks some camera with a thick glass lense that can sustain the pressures. Drill a hole into combustion chamber, thread camera in so its sealed, bingo

I dont know, glass would get blacked over from the fire very quickly. I really wish they had a behind the cameras on that.

Know anything else cameras are made of except glass? Anything clear for lense would get clouded black, but might work quickly.

While that video is cool also, its not the one im talking about because that is a gas engine.

My teacher told me that its companies test engines. Its a special port they design in the test engines that leads directly into the combustion chamber. He said that engine is under a VERY light load. Pretty cool though.
