As far as I can see, the brake lines are perfect everywhere else.

I think the main reason the fronts are seized up is because they're vertical. They'll keep any little bits of grit or moisture that gets tossed up there. The lines in the back are mostly laying sideways or upside down, and at least on the orange truck, those came apart perfectly.

I'm thinking I might put some butyl rubber on the joints when I make the new front lines for the silver truck. That should keep the crap out.

Got the passenger side line swapped out on the orange truck tonight. It went back together a lot easier than the driver's side did. I cut the isolator off that one too. It wasn't as bad as the driver's side, but it was still toast. I'm glad I'm replacing these things.

Chapter 1 of the brake fiasco draws to a close. I got the orange truck wrapped up tonight. I think there might still be a little air in it, but it's good enough for now. I wish I had gotten one of those Motive bleeders a long time ago. That made it so much easier. I'll bleed it again when I put the good leaf spring back on it.

It wasn't without issues though. The left rear bleeder was packed with mud. I had to take it off and clean it out by hand with a drill bit. I also whacked my head on an open door when I crawled out from under it. :d oh:

Did I mention the license plate for this one expires tomorrow? I need to run over and get a 'safety' inspection so I can re-register it online.

Ugh, I’ve done the door thing before. Was worse because I got super pissed at my friend cause I thought he opened it then I realized it was me lol
