Underpowered in stock form, but the the possible engine upgrades now would make it very, very fun.

Mmmmm, I'm not interested in having another 25+ year old car that I can't get parts for if I need them.

Yeah that aus guy spent over 200k I think he said at one point for basically a brand new, or as new as you can get, 3/s.

For the low price of about $10k you can get a SCE dogbox and make it sequential too.

I tried on this go-around of upgrades, but even then it managed to break the 4th gear carbon synchro ring (I'm assuming - haven't pulled it out yet).
Everything else seems to be solid. Billet forks, billet end-case, reinforced bellhousing, front LSD, 300M output shaft. Not sure what else I can do, unless someone finds an answer to synchro longevity - but that's not likely to happen since there's so little room to properly implement them. Faceplated or dogbox isn't a real answer for a street car.

No 3S ever looked close to that good new. Calling it a 'restoration' is inaccurate.

Always thought a true underbody panel would be cool.

That is just insane.
Looks like he only did the front brakes, or at least only has those right now. Wonder if he had them custom made, or had the hats custom made.
When I was doing research into the Viper brakes, I went down the hole of looking at carbon ceramic brakes for a bit. Since they are all 2 piece, you could pick any size you wanted, and have custom hats made for the center. For example 380mm is a pretty common size (would be good for the fronts, and Ferrari 488 rears are 360mm.
The biggest issue besides cost, is you also need 19" rims minimum to use those sizes.
