I don't understand the bobcat... Unless you are going to replace the hydraulic pumps with something that'll take in and put out more power, performance is going to be essentially unchanged.

I think we're about to find out if it's possible to rip burnouts with tracks.

I’m going to be LS swapping my ND Miata soon. Really want the Texas Speed 427 but it might not be in the budget.

Bingo, hydraulic pumps and finals. I doubt they will be up to any prolonged exposure without some decent modifications or upgrades.
Its also going to be a pig on fuel vs say a Turbo 4cy diesel.

Not a track loader, its a wheeled skid steer.

About the only thing I'd V8 swap is a 95 or earlier Miata since you can get a CARB exemption for those years. If I weren't in CA (no I'm not moving anytime soon) I'd look at swapping something like a Starion.

I've run across 2 in the $5-7k range in the bay area I've seriously considered, but then I remember parts are near impossible to find for the engine.

If I ran across a clean (or semi clean) Quest, I'd have a hard time saying no...

Lots of good options for the Jeep XJ with the 4.0. But I'd want a NA LS v8 instead of a FI 4.0. At least for me.

Rather die in a 650hp Miata than a 155hp one!

They would still be left questioning your sexual orientation.
