Looks pretty tight. Might just be the angle of the picture though.

My C7 is pretty tight too. Before I bought it, I always thought the 'easy exit' setting on the seat was just for fat guys. But I ended up turning it on because the car is so snug and the seats are so deeply bolstered. I could get out without it, but the seat bolster would rack up wear and tear pretty quickly.

I'm not sure if I'll like that long row of buttons on the right side of the center console like that. They aren't distinct, so now you have to hunt for the right one. On the C7 I at least have a general idea of where to find what I want.

Even less exposed black plastic on the dash is a good thing. I do like the overall look, but not sure on the layout.

Fender flares on the hood look more rounded than on the C7. Maybe going away from the angular look? Hopefully not too much, because I like the C7 look a lot.

Why in the hell is that center console so big? Its like out of an 80's starship movie. +1 for cramped.

I think part of it is the fish eye effect. The C7 looks about the same when you view it from the same angle.

I'm on the fence about the climate/seat buttons too. I need to see it in person.

I've got a tentative invite for the traveling C8 road show from one of the local dealers. They're just waiting to get final confirmation of the date from GM. I expect to see plenty of them when I go up to Detroit in August for the Dream Cruise too.

Overall I like it, I'm not a huge fan of the super aggressive air intake behind the doors though

I’m mixed. Part love and not. Thought the the point of mid engine was higher horsepower performance. That v8 doesn’t seem to be too crazy.

I don’t like the row of buttons either. If you look close at the touchscreen, it looks like there is a window and seat button. My guess is it can all be done via the screen, since that’s the trend these days, with the buttons as a a second way to do it.

The buttons are supposed to be climate control. I guess I'd have to sit in it and see how that lays out. Maybe not so bad.

I think the car looks great, good options to choose from, etc. Sounds like the acceleration is on par with the C7 Z06, which is awesome. Not sure if I should go for the Stingray, or wait for the Z06. My gut says Z06.

No convertible? Hmmm.

Base price of under $60k. That's wild.

Under 60k, and 0-60 under 3 seconds. That's insane.

Convertible will come later. I'm guessing at the LA Auto Show in December. It's looking like it's going to be a power hard top like the Ferrari 458.

As cool as it is, I'm not in any hurry to get rid of my C7. As cool as this new car is, the proportions are just odd. I really need to see one in person.

If it really is under 60k like rumors say, I would sell the vr4 and talk the wife into that easily with...it will have AC and not smell like exhaust.

I need to see it live. Not super sold on the looks, but pictures can deceive.

You need Z51 package to get that 0-60 I guess. So, more than $60k but still...

On C7 the Z51 package was somewhere around $6k if I remember right. My C7 has it, and the E-diff, so it has all the performance traction modes and stuff. Seems like it works really well.

Compare 2020 Stingray to Ford GT, Acura NSX, Audi R8, Lotus Evora and the C8 is a hell of a performance bargain. I think they'll sell a lot of these cars. Can't wait for the convertible and Z06 variants!

If they had made the "Shocker" color from the 2020 Camaro available on it, my wife would've ordered one immediately.

It’ll likely be $59,995.

This looks great, but it also looks like a giant pain to work on.

OK, I love the convertible.

Hopefully the engine is easier to work on from underneath, or there's a reasonable procedure to drop the drivetrain cradle out the bottom. Honestly though, I think I'm done working on my own cars, or would work on them as little as possible. These probably won't be mod-friendly, and there's likely near zero room back there for add-on goodies.
