Yup. Almost the same price as the suspension. Looks like 3,200 when all said and done.

Honestly you are right. Ive txted jeff about this a couple times.
First I dont understand suspension a lot. Been trying to read up on it but get lost quick. And there is so much anti air bag out there that it even makes it harder.
What I do know is my suspension is stock. I need new suspension. I hate any coil overs I ride in. Period. But I also have a stupid hard driveway and cant have much drop anyways.
But I am tired of mods that I end up hating. Add on that there are things with the car I need to fix to enjoy driving it, and some might be easy, some I dont believe will be. Exhaust leak...pain but easy. Tuning....I need someone to actually come to me (or me to them) and do that shit in person. Hard.
I would also love that car more if I never took the AC out.
I would love to buy a gtr, used vette, hell C8, something else but I doubt that will ever happen.
So do I spend 3k on something Im not 100% about? Thats the real question. I mean Im gonna buy a 1,500 quadcopter so should I really get upset about 1,500 more for something that gets about the same amount of use? Think I could sell it for 2k if I didnt like it?
Picking all the options, I am a little over half way to the goal of this suspension. I dont know if I will pull the trucker when its time but I think I would enjoy the ride, get the look Ive always wanted, and not worry about tearing the car apart. I do wish I could test out my current set up in a skid pad first to see if I improve or worsen.

Sounds like the 3k really isnt practical for you anymore. I would put my money elsewhere, like saving it up for a GTR.

What does the rest of your suspension look like? Any slip in the bushings? Could still be a bit rough maybe if you have all solid and poly, but should be pretty comfortable.

All front have been replaced and all back are getting ready to be replaced.

If you're really in love with the car and will keep it, I'd say go for it.

Honestly, if Im at 50...why would I not spend the 10k more to get the c8?

I need to find time to fix what I can and then worry about the rest later. I think I will do the air ride. Maybe a couple more months but that gives me time to try and fix the exhaust leak.

Or pick up a killer deal on a C7 from all the trade-ins that are going to happen when the C8 starts shipping over the winter. Hell, buy mine when I sell it in a year to get a C8 Z06 convertible.

Yeah any gtr I get would be best to shit. We all know it. Most vetted would prob be in that case as well. In any case no other sports car would happen for me in the next 5 years.

I dunno. I do drive my Vette hard, but it still looks brand new. I think I have 11,000 miles on it or so. If you look around in the north a bit, you can find quite a few that are in excellent condition.

None of those cars will fit up your driveway

I dont know if your joking or not but it is a serious concern of mine. My wifes Honda Accord did barely pull in without scraping and Im guessing gtr or vette are lower than that. My vr4 3 wheels when backing it into my basement sometimes.

I would think a vette is usually better to beat the shit out of than a gtr. Any boosted application its too easy to get a boost controller and start messing with stuff. Or launch control of a boosted application.
