Oh please, you and I both know the majority of cars that would have an issue are not driven by people who can't afford a few years old Corolla that would pass the tests. Case in point you two hah.
My Stealth wouldn't pass modern standards, even if I put all the emissions stuff back on.

Emissions testing is nothing more than a governmental cash grab.

Yeah probably not. Generally gooberment vehicles are exempt. Would have passed? Probably. But it doubt it was actually tested.

So I can add a little to that. I know the fire dept can ask for exception to the diesel additive stuff and what not. Yet all our vehicles have them even though we don’t have any sort of testing what so ever. I feel confident saying that most places would keep emission’s working if they had to because if the testers come in, than it’s hell to pay.

Another example. We can’t wash our fire trucks outside because of the run off from that was. The dirt we pick up on the road...we can not redeposit outside. Has to go through a drain on the inside floor. The county was hit with a huge fine over this, they haven’t even said how much but will have to disclose it soon.

So I could only imagine that something along those lines finds out that they arnt complying with emissions.....
