I'd pick the NSX just to be different. Think about it, how often do you see a c5 driving down the road, then think about how often you see a NSX driving down the road.

I honestly could care less about how often I see a car. I want a car that performs and is fairly cheap relatively speaking to upgrade and that's what the C5 is. Take Ox's for example. Yeah, you see a lot of vettes but his still looks awesome and I bet still turns heads.

Wow I didnt realize the 99 NSX sold for around 82k wow. Talk about an overpriced car. I love the look of the NSX and i'm an attention whore so I love having a rare car. I would definetly go with the NSX.

All NSXs are way overpriced anyways.

I'm more surprised that the NSX actually sold in the $60k-70K range for the first few years of the 90's. For some reason, I thought the price had always hovered around $75-85k.

I am also pretty surprised that the 3000GT jumped $7k in MSRP in the first three production years. That is a pretty drastic rise in what amounts to very little change stats-wise (ie. HP, TQ, weight, costmetics, gears/ratios, accessories, etc.). I can understand the price increase in '93 based on the changes in mechanical components (block, crank, and output shaft), but that is not something the customer routinely notices in a stock car.

I'm also surprised the VR4 sold for $31k in 1991, and the Stealth was just a hair under $30k. In fact, a lot of the early 90's prices seemed shockingly low. I guess inflation is a bitch.

Overpriced in terms of power? I'd say so. Overpriced in terms of a reliable exotic sports car that is lightweight and handles well on track and road? That's debatable. I guess it all depends on what you are looking for in a car.

Personally, if I were going to drop that much money on a new sports car, regardless of how it handles, I would want a bit more horsepower than what the NSX offers stock. For an NA 3L engine, the power output is pretty impressive, making roughly as much power as the 1G turbo version of our car did. Still, ifor that price tag you expect to see more power, either through a larger block or forced induction. Hopefully the next version of the NSX will correct that problem.

Well that means it is also a hell of a lot easier to be spotted by cops

With the way I drive that doesn't really matter because I very rarely go more than 6-7 over the speed limit. With paying my own insurance on all my cars it just isn't worth the risk of having it increased.

Wow! I honestly thought 99% of you would jump all over the Vette. A nice suprise.

I have never driven either, but both would be a nice addition to the garage. I'm leaning toward the rarer NSX tho.

The giant jump in price had more to do with the Yen becoming VERY weak in the mid 90's. The fall started in in mid 93 iirc.

Opposite happening now...yen is pretty strong, dollar weak

c5 performs better, is cheaper, easier to fix. the NSX looks dated to me.
