I figured it out, someone got rid of some threads. The TEC looks mighty empty.

I'm about ready to scream.
I can't get this engine on the stand.

I bought 4 bolts today (80mm) to mount the engine to the stand.

First off, no matter what I try, i can't get the fucking engine lined up correctly with engine stand. It's always at some weird-ass angle.

Next, the bars on the engine stand just won't get close enough to plug into the 4 top holes of the engine. At best, I can only get 2 of the bars connected in the 2 "middle" holes on the engine. But then I can't get the lower arms lined up to the lower holes on the engine.

When I did that and I tried giving a little slack to the engine, the fucking bolts bent! How the fuck do you people mount these engines on a stand?
I feel like a knuckle-dragging troglodyte right now..I am so infuriated that I can't do something as simple as put an engine on a stand.

Are you attaching just the spindle portion, or are you trying to install it with the stand fully assembled and sitting on the floor? The latter doesnt work well.

Not sure if it will be any help, but there are several pics that i posted for coop here
1 of them shows i did it upside down from what would be considered normal, maybe try that?

I seem to have this mental block about things when it comes to tangible hardware. I have no trouble "thinking outside the box" with computers, but when dealing with hardware, metal, wood, etc, I seem to do the stupidest things possible.
In my head, all i can think is "the engine has to go on the stand"..it would have never occured to me to put the bracket on the engine, then put the bracket on the stand because "the engine has to go on the stand". Mental retardation in full effect right here folks.
