I think I just set a record for fucking myself over.
I went outside to check the AC pressure. It's within 2 psi of where the temperature chart for nitrogen says it should be.
So on that positive note, I decided to get a head start on drilling out one of the broken fuel tank skid plate bolts. Put a nice, fast hole in it thanks to some really good drill bits. Then I promptly snapped a bolt extractor off in it. I was just about to back it off and give up when it let go too.

Messaged an eBay seller about a column harness. I asked if it had been cut into.
"Sorry, we don't sell wiring"
The wires are a permanent part of the column switch. Do you cut them off? What exactly are you selling?

Speaking of eBay, it's funny how many sellers have it listed as an 'American Motors' Hummer.
AM General built the Humvee, H1, and H2. They had nothing to do with the H3.
American Motors was a totally different company that was absorbed by Chrysler back in the 80s.

It was based on a heavily modified GMT800 chassis and built as a partnership or something.
I got the busted extractor out. I actually swiss cheesed the rest of the bolt with a very tiny drill bit. I still need to clean out the threads and maybe heli-coil it, but the hard part is done.

Scored a clock spring / signal switch assembly with good pictures showing intact wires. $43 shipped. It was $54 but I got a 'special offer' when I added it to my watch list. Should be here Monday.

The dash is back in. It was a lot easier to do with the HVAC ducts and crossbeam attached to the dash shell as one assembly. It also helps that I know where everything is now.
The new steering column harness came today. It's perfect.
The fuel tank hard line is here too.
The tank flange is cleaned up and ready for reassembly.
The broken bolts for the tank skid plate are drilled out and ready for heli-coils.
I can't tell if the AC is holding pressure properly or not. I know the manifold gauge fittings have a minor leak, so I can't tell if the gradual pressure drop is due to that or an unrepaired leak in the system. It's not critical right now though.
It would be back together this weekend, but we're leaving for a short canoe trip tomorrow. I don't see anything stopping me from getting it back together in time for the off road course next weekend though.

The interior is basically back together. I left some trim off so I could get to the harness in case I need to troubleshoot, but it's all easy stuff. The fuel tank flange has been treated with rust converter and paint. I just have to helicoil two bolt holes on the frame, chase out a few other holes, drop the pump module in the tank, and bolt the tank into the truck. Then we should be running.

Yeah. I have the front lines on hand for this truck. I'm ordering all the rest later today. Fixing the fronts should be good enough for our outing on Saturday.

Mine sit along the inner part of the frame. The only part that was hard to see was near the gas tank, and we've got that covered now
The frame lines are fine. I need to go over the hard lines on the axle again. The leak on the orange truck was in the short hard section that comes right off the caliper. That's crimped to a rubber section that attaches at the frame. I'll get a picture later.
