A couple years ago, my oil cooler blew a line while I was driving. I didn't know this until I got home and there was no oil in the car (how i didn't spin a bearing, i'll never know).
Well..I just found out where most of that oil went...all over the lower driver's side engine bay. _Everything_ is caked in sludge.
I plan on dunking the engine in simple green
If I rented a portable steam-cleaner, could I safely use that on parts like the AC compressor, etc?
Either way, I'm going to have a river of sludge washing out of my garage by the time I'm done cleaning this monster.
Oh, I also found out why my engine bucked around so much. The rear engine mount bolt sheared off
So I looked and sure enough..no bolt.
I'm also thinking of ruining my budget and replacing the front bumper and all the under-side covers..almost every plastic piece underneath is ripped, broken, bent, or warped.
