I'm wondering if the market is starting to turn. Cobra prices are dropping a little and it seems there's a rush of mid 30k cars being posted that I suspect they are trying to sell while they still can.

I think so. Older tj wranglers up here are a lot cheaper than before and seeing a lot of truck posts with people lowering their prices.

Market has to be cooling off I would say. Or it could be that it's one of the more "common" collectors editions?

It's definitely turning. I don't regret buying mine when I did though. It was the right car, and I did extremely well on my Stingray.

It does make me wonder what's going to happen to those ZR1s people were paying well over 200k for though. Unless they're going to hold on to them for 20-30 years, I don't see how they'll ever get their money back.

Yeah you did it right cause you sold your Stingray for what you did. So the money you "actually paid" for your Grand Sport probably would be similar even with the market cooling off most likely.

Danielle keeps thinking about trading in her kia. I have been telling her that now is a good time to do it before the market really changes. It's already cooling a bit.

Yea, market is way too high for what it is. I think this is just the start of the cool off. Makes me feel glad I dumped the Jeep when I did.

What sucks is we are due for a new car and new car prices dont appear to be settling down yet.

I want to get out of the Hummer, but I think the smart play is to drive it through the winter and see where things are in the spring.

Yeah the market for the last 4-6 months has been dealers offering pre-pandemic trade-in prices with peak pandemic pricing on their inventory. Combined with increased interest rates it's a lose, lose, lose.

Yea, we will hold out, but with interest rates still climbing, i doubt things will cool off enough before next summer.

This is why I tried to hold off on trading in the CTS for as long as I could.. had hoped for a bit longer to prices to drop a bit more, but it went kabloomey, so had no choice haha.

Whatever we do, trade in plus cash. No payments so no interest rates to worry about

Gonna swap over to the 2019 cluster, and change the color of some of the climate control LEDs. I really, really hate pulling some of this stuff off. It's all spring clips and tiny screws. Some of the clips pop out nicely and other ones take a ton of force. The part ends up flying out and you chew up your hands or scratch something. Or worse.

I also tried fitting the all digital XTS cluster in the recess in the dash. It's not even close. I'm going to take some better measurements to see if it's even remotely possible to trim this thing down.

Fun silly trivia fact. The colored piece of trim that wraps up over the dash is called a batwing.

Interior work these days is quite annoying. I always feel like I'm gonna break something (though I haven't yet on the RS).

It also amazes me just how much you have to take apart to get to something.
