WTF happened to this thing?

Looks like there's a second one being towed behind the flatbed, but it's not up on the search listing yet.

Also just put the half monti on insurance this week. Finally get to drive it around now. I’m sure I’ll find lots to fix.

I wouldn’t blame you. Snag the rear window slider locks if they aren’t broke. Also, you done with 1st gens or looking for a SWB?

I went over to get the latches Steve mentioned, and to check on something else I had been watching. The Raider was ok. But that Monte....wow.

I don't know. You can see it's got some square tubing in the back, but I couldn't tell why. Some kind of redneck roll cage?

Wow, that monti looks bad in ways i couldn't imagine. Jeff, and you thought you had rust issues.

That raider looks sweet though. How was the interior? Seats look solid from the picture.

The raider looks good enough to still drive in the one picture, but that Monte looks so bad it makes me wonder why they even brought it into a pick n pull

Thought I heard a commercial on the radio where they will take anything and give you cash for it?

I don't get it. I tried to give them my red parts truck, and they wouldn't take it. It was missing the engine, trans, and a few other parts. I guess it's all based on weight, and it wasn't valuable enough without the drivetrain.

I know not all of you have a Pick N Pull, but they tend to put their nicer cars out on the front lot and try to sell them to customers for a few weeks before giving up on them and then putting them out in the yard.

I saw a loaded Ram 50 with all the options one time at a far away Pick N Pull about a year ago. It was sitting in the front lot with some front end damage, but in good shape and for sale as a whole. Not wanting to lose out on the opportunity to nab perfect door cards, dash cluster, center console, and some other bits, I removed all of them one morning. Thats a bid no no at the yard. You cannot touch for sale cars. Well the truck sat there for a couple more weeks until I think they noticed and then it went straight to the crusher. Didn't even go into the yard!!! I was so pissed because I wanted the 4.22 LSD center diff and other bits but never got the chance to grab it. I really only have myself to blame but damn!

So for them to put that wreck of a montero in the yard and my yard not to put a beautiful Ram 50 in is beyond me.

Speaking of sale cars, this is the other reason I went to the yard.

I originally went to look at it a few weeks ago. It's got a bad engine, and it's been poorly painted with bedliner. It was originally yellow. But it's got the locking rear axle and crawler transfer case, among a few other things. So I went to see if it was still there in the hopes it hadn't sold and was put out on the yard.

Found out they took it to auction instead. I found the auction, but can't see how much it sold for. Oh well.
