They call it a catfish it's a Miata based kit car but it's not as simple as an exocet. There's 2 of them here and the look AWESOME!

Ok. I thought it was an Exocet with a body. I'd rather have one of those. It looks slightly more livable than the Exocet.

Bought another miata yesterday. Long story short, I need a DD and the wife fell in love with the green car. She was sad to see it get ripped apart.

This one appeared on the lot near a friends. It caught my eye and had a good price tag on it. Took it for a test drive and bought it on the spot.



Its an 02 base with LSD (which I will swap out for the open diff from the green car. Its got all the options including cruise. New clutch, new tires and I will do the timing belt right away.

The wife and I will switch between this one and the Mazda 2 for daily diving.

This car was someone's baby. These Mazda speed seats go for a lot of $$.

I.......I........just honestly don't know what to say? Have you actually ordered the kit yet? Can you not say no to buying cars?

i mean if you got it for a good price and you can nab the LSD out of it, thats a good deal. im assuming its the torsen? those things go for a decent chunk of change.

Nope......I want to see this car built. I'm no person to judge what others do to their cars, by any means. All I am saying is that I want to see you build this thing.

Okay.... Still Not understanding what the issue is.

If you read the thread, you will see that he already stated that the Exocet was ordered and would be shipping in November iirc.

Another car to distract you from this build. Nothing like getting an extra vr4 and then making one an unrealistic one. It's like I've see this whole thread with different cars.

You know. I have owned cars that were just cars to drive. This new one is one of them.

Starting sometime in December I'm getting a new job. It's a 1 hour commute from where we live now. No more walking to work. Need something to get me there and back. Was seriously considering another mazda 2, but I don't want another car payment at this time.

This car is stock and maintained well. It was cheap so I bought it. Simple as that.

Besides. It's "her" car.

Not to hop on the Coop train, as I have no room to talk, but arent you still making payments on two new cars too (Ford and Mazda) plus all these new projects?

Love this MX5 much more than the other nonetheless.

I gave the ford back to the dealer. Wasn't worth having a car payment on a car I almost never drove. The wife makes the payment on the 2 and the only reason why I haven't just paid off that one is so she can establish credit. I'm debt free other than that.

I'm not sure what you mean by "all these projects". I only have one project car.

I guess you are down to just the one 3s now, correct?

...plus two miatas.

The VR4 has been finished since may. Been using it for code testing and occasional trips to shows. No projects to be done with cars that are built correctly the first time.
