Ordered one from import image racing :barfaway: but the good news it will be here by Friday afternoon according to FedEx. It was like $2 extra for their 2 day shipping... worth it!

Engine is in the car mated to the transmission bolted up and motor mounts bolted in place. I took absolutely zero pictures today, but I think my dad has a few.

I can just see you all blue taping that thing lol. I’m surprised you don’t have the rubber covers.

I like this wrx, I would want that pike peaks look. That lifted look. Man I bet that would be fun.

I've been plugging away at getting it all hooked up during my lunches and breaks this week. I also put in a few hours on Sunday night and again tonight. I've been working slow mostly to try and stay clean. Tonight I got everything hooked up and connected I can until I get the downpipe back and installed. I'll probably pick up coolant and startup oil tomorrow, and then start filling it up with fluids.

Like I put in Shout I filled it with coolant using my cooling system tester/vacuum filler. Also got it filled with my startup oil, downpipe, and intercooler installed. All that's left is the battery and then cranking it with the crank sensor unplugged to build up oil pressure, and then starting it :ohnoes:

Did you try and start it and find this out? How did you come to this conclusion? Did you use assembly lube on it?

Coop
Tried to start it last night. I followed the FSM it just called for engine oil.

2 main possibilities: 1. There was some minor undetectable by hand burr on a journal where the cam rides. 2. Apparently the FSM for 02 has a typo calling for the wrong torque spec on the cam tower bolts, so it may be over torqued. I followed the 02 FSM to a T for this stuff.
