Got the refrigerant, got the low side valve, got parts back from welder. Looks like my evap core will be here in time but my expansion valve from mitsu will not be. I will take everything out and clean it. I am starting fri night so if I need something sat I can go get it.

all installed, all wired, just need to charge it....minus the new core and expansion valve needing to be installed but all the other hard stuff is done. Hopefully we will know monday if I just wasted over 400 bucks!

Yeah I took pics. Its gonna be very interesting haha. If it doesnt then I am going to try a 83 Porsche condenser, as its a lot longer then my current one, even longer then stock...not as tall but bigger. If that doesnt work then I guess I am just not meant to have ac.

These pics were requested via shoutbawc. Bumper fits no problem what so ever, if this condenser ends up not being big enough an 83 Porsche will end up fitting perfectly and I will try before I trash this project. I dont have any completed under hood pics as it was a long night and I know I would take pics when charging, I do have the compressor mounted up pics if anyone truly wants those.

good news....bad news.

Good news: no leaks and it does get cold.

Bad news: seems stock compressor has a revolutionary sensor and mine doesnt which causes mine to kick off instead of cycle. Anyone got any ideas how to make it not do that?

The good news is awesome, the bad news, I don't know enough about AC units to be of any help. haha

So you're saying that the stock AC computers don't see the RPM from the stock compressor sensor, and then shuts the system down?

Yeah it cuts power. Or thats at least how I am understanding it. basically it kicks on and then a red dot comes on the display and it kicks off. If I keep kicking it on then you can feel the vents getting cold but it only runs about 20 seconds.

I am guessing it needs some sort of resistor (kind of like the EGR delete) or power.

You need something to trick the AC control unit into seeing an RPM signal. That'll be more complicated than a resistor. You basically need some kind of pulse generator.

I'll try to look at the schematics tonight. I've given you enough shit over this. I figure I owe you one.

haha rock on. I figured your one of the few people who could clearly know how to make it work. Appreciate it.

You're still on the stock auto climate control, right? Which year?

I've got a couple of spare auto AC modules laying around. I could use a break from ECUs.

How's the RPM signal transmitted 0v-5v?

I'd guess it's probably a hall effect sensor with a square wave output. Just like the crank sensor.

Maybe you could just tap into the crank sensor, that’s probably too slow though.
