Maybe, but all the reviews on all the jeep forums say they are better than EBC yellowstuff, napa premium, etc. and everyone says they are 100% worth the money when you run bigger tires.

Safety is very important so being able to stop is worth spending more money on to me.




This Thursday night I plan on starting to clean out the garage. Hope to have it finished by Friday night. Then either this weekend or next I will start putting everything on the Jeep.

Just dawned on me. Tires might be rubbing lower control arms on full lock.

Went and looked.

Yep, rub markings on lower control arms.

Damn.

Rotors showed up today. Very nice. All I am waiting on now is the brake pads and I should have everything ready to start putting it all together.

Will see how rusted the stop steers are. Might be able to adjust them really quick while I have the wheels/brakes off.

Yea, mine hit my swaybar disconnects and dig into my sidewall tread. It can get annoying on full lock.

Started to work on it last night.

Pulled it into the garage.



Then started to work on getting the hitch put on. Was going well on the drivers side. Got the washer/bolts/etc put in then went to the passenger side and found a rusted out nut bar in the frame. Apparently previous owner had a hitch at some point.

In order to get it out I have to remove the rear bumper. So started to do that and found this under passenger side end cap.



Not 100% sure what I am going to do about it yet. Will probably try and take off/cut out as much rust as possible and maybe see if I can get a thin piece of sheet metal to cover it up and rivet it on or something. :d ontknow:

After I got the end caps off I had to take the bumper itself off. However the bolts that hold the brackets to the frame are insanely rusted and a super pain to get to.



So today I am going to cut off the brackets (already ordered new ones for $20) so I can get to everything and replace them with new brackets and bolts when they arrive.

After that fiasco I decided to start on the front.

Got the front bumper off easily.



Also got the brackets that support the bumper on fairly easily as well.

Then it was time to try to get the bumper on. I can hold it in place fairly easily, but can't quite get the bolts in from where I have to hold it. So hoping today the wife can help. If not I will try some other things tonight to help get it on.

After the bumper/winch are on I will tackle the brakes then remove the rear bumper and finish the hitch install.

Also bought one of these to fix the speedo problem. Right now it is about 10-11% off running the larger tires.

Front brackets from last night.

Was also able to remove one of the rear bumper brackets this morning without cutting. So probably bent the bumper a bit, but I was able to get it somewhat out of the way on the side with the bar.

Next step is get the bar out.

Will return the brackets I bought for the rear bumper too. Don't need them now.

That stupid bar I had to remove.

Hitch installed and rear bumper back on.

Front bumper installed and winch installed and wired.

Just need to spool the winch, swap back in old radio, and do the brakes tomorrow.

Will also be relocating the horns today too. Already moved the vacuum canister. Just not sure yet where I want to put the horns.

I think I should have that speedo gear in on Tuesday as well.

And the battery is dead. 12v but engine won't turn over. Just clicks.

How old is the battery? You may have lost a cell or two when it sat for so long

About 2 year old battery. Taking it back to where I bought it soon.

Other than that everything is done except for spooling the winch. Need a battery for that. Also need to break in the brakes. Again need a battery.

New rotors and pads compared to the old ones.

Also relocated the horns by just rotating the brackets so they sit higher up.

Battery was under warranty
