If you have the dash out already, I would definitely put some gauges in. Prosports are pretty cheap and seem to work relatively well. I'd love to have oil pressure/fuel pressure/water temp in the center.

And on a side note, I finally got the car running yesterday after having the 13Ts in for almost 2 weeks. Runs good with no leaks anywhere (that I've found yet anyway, haha). NBT OS/Spool should get shipped out this week too, so sometime in the next month or so the car should be back on the road!

Problem not fixed. To troubleshoot I put a stock ECU in it and it seemed to run ok. Put everything back together and the issues started again. That's telling me it's a wiring issue meaning I need to spend a few hours trying to rewire this thing yet again.

New issue... gotta replace a line on the power steering rack of my galant vr4. Every damn galant vr4 that comes in here leaks out the same line and it takes a miracle of christ to get the car done quicker then 7 hours. All that work for a $30 line. My galant has zero rust on it so I'm hoping that will make it easier then the others we have done here. Atleast the weather is nice so driving the 98 vr4 is fun.

I'm waiting on a set of flexalite fans with shroud to come in for the 98 to hopefully keep the coolant temps a little lower when sitting in traffic. I'm going to try a higher pressure radiator cap and a lower temp thermostat along with some radiator relief and hope all of that works. If not, I may have to rip out the AC which I really want to keep.

After all of that work to the 98 I have to put it on the dyno to tune it above 13.5 psi. Right now it's running flawlessly and I'm really happy about that.
Are you gonna run that 170* Mugen one? Here's a link just in case, but I'm sure you already know everything about it.

Looking forward to seeing dyno results on the 98 ... :)
Yea, I'm going to run a 170 degree thermostat. Right now it's making 375 at 13 psi. It was making 280 at 8-9 psi. I figure it should be around 460-480 awhp at 17-18 psi with a totally stock engine. I might get a meth kit for it and run more boost. I've got a T67 supra in town to beat that is talking a lot of trash. Apparently he's making more then 600 rwhp. 22-23 psi with meth injection should get me around 550-580 awhp... but that's just a guess. I may end up pulling the trans on the 98 to install our new reinforcement plate into the bell housing just for some reassurance.

It's a totally stock engine.

I have it figured that he's running in the mid to high 10's right now judging by the races I've seen him win. He recently beat a 03 cobra with an upgraded charger (there is arguement as to whether its a KB or whipple charger) in a roll race.

He's been talking so much shit he needs toilet paper as a bib so his shoes don't stink.

I also have to program the AEM to turn my fans on earlier... hopefully that will help out as well.
Well, he should be. I think he ran 11.xx in the mid 130's. That Cobra he beat was either the other shit-talker with the maroon one (which HAD a KB when I met him, but he claimed he was getting a whipple soon after) or the black one (which now has a KB I believe).

But yeah - Costas talks so much shit, it's hilarious. Then I remind him when I *killed* his Z ... LOL!!

Anyway, I think heads up at the track the '98 against him in the poopra on slicks would be a good ET run, if nothing else. I'd like to see it.
The guy in the cobra had a face mask on and had a belt as the "king of the streets" that he had to pass over to costas haha. Those guys are such tool bags.

Here's the race video http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7LAIZpl9OjE

Oh, and costas claims to have been running pump gas, but when I talked to greg last night he says he runs race gas for the big races. So, I'm sure that's what he was running in that vid. Hopefully he gets cocky and runs pump gas for me haha. I don't think the 98 will see race gas in it while I own it.

Thanks again for the link (since I can't search 3si for it myself). I just finished reading the post and mellon got his coolant temps under control by running the same fans that I just purchased. I'm hoping these fans work so I don't have to front $80 on a damn thermostat. I have a good feeling about this because my coolant temps were the same as mellon's (max around 250 degree in stop n go traffic and 210-220 cruising).

Kevin and I are going to sheetz this weekend to see if we can cause some trouble :p eelout: :nogood:

Dude, I went there in my galant vr4 and the 98 when they both weren't inspected and I didn't get shit. I even parked the gaylant in a no parking zone. They just told me to move it or they would tow it. Damn thing hadn't been inspected since 2002 and they were worried about it being parked in a no parking zone haha.

I may go to sheetz friday night, but I don't know if I will have it tuned for higher boost levels by then. I don't have much time to play with it since I need to drive it until I can fix the galant.
Hey no problem man. :) Good luck with it ... might be able to use the same thinking on Dave's car if it ever works again. :p

Well tell me when you're going, I can call Costas and try to hook something up. ;)
I think the main problem with dave's car was he has rust in his gas tank as well. We didn't notice it until I pulled the pump out after the engine ate shit. I'm getting him the same fan setup too when we go to put his car back together. I'm not sure what turbo setup we're going with on his car yet. Maybe another 13g or 15g setup. Those turbos are the most fun for the street.

Let's trade for the weekend. My car for your 98. I'll leave a deposit.
And by "deposit", I mean, "a big fat shit in your toilet"

you didnt have fuel filter problems?

mine kept blowing out the filter and clogging the injectors with rust. i pulled my injectors 4 times, cleaned them, and changed the filter each time before i got off my ass and pulled the tank out of my wrecked stealth.
