Boxes themselves were pretty water logged and soft. The side in the picture was the only "dry" side. Didn't have a chance to open them up yet. Felt solid enough that things should be good. Plus stainless so even if wet, not a problem.

Your car is looking really good.
I see I'm not the only one who occasionally works in the garage in slippers.

I think about all the things we could have done, all the miracles we could have achieved, if we were all just a little bit better than it turns out we are.

That is pretty much all I wear in the garage. I hate wearing shoes and barefoot is a no no in the garage. I have inside slippers, outside slippers, and garage slippers. All the same brand and color.

Do you all want a before/after video of exhaust?

They say there is no such thing as a stupid question, but this is pushing it...in other words, absolutely you should.

I’m more of a sandals and socks type when working on mine lately.

New vs old

Re: This can only end poorly
I'm interested to see how this sits under the car. It looks like the mufflers will be at an angle?
Did you have any problems getting the old ones out? When I did mine, I was sliding the tips on the ground even with my Quickjacks at full height. It was really close.

Old ones came out easy. Hardest part was getting the hanger tool onto the hangers since they are tucker up under the rear bumper cover.
This is a 15 yr old car with 0 rust so all bolts came out like new and exhaust just slid apart.
Took out factory x-pipe first. Then undid the rear stabilizer bad and old mufflers just practically fell out with a ton of room. I was sitting under them so figure my thighs between them and the ground and still had room.
Put it some aftermarket heat shields and now just need to put new exhaust on. Might do it today or tomorrow. Not sure yet.

And as for angle, yes they do. I'll get pics after I install them to show you.
