Yeah it sounds pretty good once you really dip into the throttle but you have to get above 3500 rpm for it to wake up volume wise.
Run a parasitic draw test and/or put a maintainer on it.
Hooked up the multimeter today and it seems like it is drawing almost 3 amps just sitting

Seems like a fairly common issue with these trucks from the search I did.

Gotta wait for everything to shut down. Not sure about newer stuff but for years Ford's didn't shut the gem module down for 45 minutes. You can watch the meter and see the draw go from over an amp to about .015 right as 45 minutes hits.

I like my magnaflow for what it's worth. Some drone at certain rpms but very mild and usually really quiet until you get on it.

So do I leave the multimeter connected and on for 45+ minutes and then check?

Yes. Connect the meter in series (how I assume you're doing it) in addition to a jumper wire so the meter can turn off.

With mine I haven't had a problem but some meters will open the circuit when you turn it back on. That resets the timer.

Anyways with jumper connected make sure meter is on and reading (probably 0), disconnect jumper wire being sure not to disturb meter connections. You'll see your reading at that point.

Before you do this, just swap in the GT500 supercharged 5.2L and dual clutch transmission!

It's draining the battery enough cause it to not start after a day or so.

I actually had to jump it at noon today when I was at the office for something.

Is it the original battery? If so its probably on its last legs. I had to replace the Lancer's battery last winter. It made it 8 years so I couldn't complain too much I guess.

Stickers and everything on it makes me think it's newer.

Brand of battery, and how old?

Wife used to source batteries for Wal-mart, and their BEST battery is only guaranteed to last 3 years, and their entry level battery is only guaranteed to last a year.
