Went out and picked up a cutting compound and extra 3000 grit sand paper. I'll probably look at trying it on Sunday or some evening next week

Re: The MARO
I will get better pics later this week, but spent most of the day yesterday putting everything back on in the interior and then hand wet sanding the car. 800, 1000, 1500, 2000, 2500, 3000 grit. Took a long time but I am hoping the end result is worth it. In the meantime here is a pic of it in a matte green before I hit it with a cutting compound and polish this week.

All that's left is chrome around the wheel arches, exhaust, and tracking down a burning smell. Got a lot of new parts so hard to tell where it's coming from.

Did another round of polish over the weekend.

Re: The MARO
Love it. Surprised since you did such an extensive paint you didn’t go with something a little different as it’s not like a numbers matching. But it looks good!

It is the color it came from the factory. That is what Danielle wanted. It is her car.

It's also a rare color. So it stands out more in a crowd.
Re: The MARO

Looks really good out under natural sunlight. I assume the stripe is a decal?
I think about all the things we could have done, all the miracles we could have achieved, if we were all just a little bit better than it turns out we are.

Chris is correct. I painted it.

Wow. That came out great.

Like I've said before. Give me a wrench or a paint brush or something I can do in combo with my hands and mind and I'm not that bad at it. Sit me behind a computer and expect me to believe there are not little elves in their performing their magic and I'll look at you like a deer with a semi barreling down the road at it.

Ordered some mangnaflow exhaust for it today. We just are not huge flowmaster fans and the system on there is from the 90s. Rusted and just needs updated. So replacing everything from the long tubes back. New system will have a x pipe as well. Currently has no crossovers. Will also be uping to 2.5 over the 2.0 inch exhaust on it now
