At least the non mag ride shocks are cheap/easy to replace

Hoping to get the LTs before my trip to California. Would be nice to get them installed before I go. Then after I'll get it tuned based on the new mods.

It was nice having it off. The breeze was just the right amount. Could easily hold a conversation at 70 mph and wasn't too windy.

Re: This can only end poorly
Was noticing a decent crunch over some bumps yesterday. Forum search suggests probably the oem end links. Known issue. Cheap to replace. Ordered all 4 for $100. Most seem to last less than a few years. Mine looks like completely stock suspension parts including the factory shocks so just going to replace them when I swap in the new shocks while the car is up on the lift for the exhaust.
Looks like dielectric grease is recommended on bushings as well.

Yup. About 100 miles of country roads.
But definitely excited to see what the headers do for both boom and zoom.

Roof latch started to rattle a bit the other day. Known issue. Apparently the front latches car wear out and cause a minor rattle that you can hear/feel on rough roads. Can't really hear it with windows down or radio on, but with them up and radio down, on a rough enough road, it can be annoying. There are a few DIY options out there but debating on just buying a set of new latches. Not that expensive. Like $150 or so for a pair.

Did end up picking up a uniden R8 detector. Going to run that in the truck along with Waze on my trip to see how I like it. Downloaded a custom preset setting recommended by Vortex Radar. Will install it in the truck this weekend and if it works well will go into the vette. Removed the onstar brick from the windshield and will put it there.

You might be able to put some thick rubber o-rings on the front pins to keep it quiet while you figure out what to do for a long term fix. I had to do that on the white car while I waited to buy and install the upgraded striker plates.
I think about all the things we could have done, all the miracles we could have achieved, if we were all just a little bit better than it turns out we are.

Re: This can only end poorly
Someone gave me a "power wedge" I'm going to put on.
This thing. http://www.vararam.com/power-wedge.html
We will see if I notice anything. Doubt it. But with the tubes and tune it might be good for a couple of hp.
Speaking of the longtubes, eta is 3rd week of April. Would be nice to get them on after I get back.
Then a few hundred miles to make sure everything is nice and tight and a custom tune will be done.

I doubt the wedge will do any harm, but those are some really ambitious claims for a piece of plastic.

Right? Apparently in the camaro they have proven dyno results. But on the vette forum it's kind of a hit/miss it seems.
Traded my floor mats for it. Lol

Car needs a tune with current mods. Debating on using my email tune guy or driving to Vancouver for a dyno tune
Re: This can only end poorly
Dyno numbers are nice to see and kind of fun to do. But deff not needed expense if you don’t wanna.

It's not about dyno numbers. Car needs a tune to run right with current mods. Can do email tune or have wong do a tune for me on the dyno.
