Your only terrible decision was sticking with Subaru. The rest of your decisions have been pretty darn good.

...well...and removing the Fords chrome bumper, but I might be on my own island there. ;)
I mean perhaps, but I also have a lot of familiarity with Subaru. Switching to another brand would have required starting from scratch. Also there's not a whole lot of sedan/wagon fun cars out there. I wanted something my kids could also ride in and i could daily if i wanted.

Might as well stick it out then and get it the way you want it. At least Subaru's aren't the most expensive to work on.

I really don't know what it needs at this point. If the cam seizing threw aluminum shavings into the rest of the engine then....

Jason is a couple of working biceps away from building a War Rig,
:suspect:

I keep looking at the bumper and winch in the garage and the rails for the Subaru. I'll probably install the catch can on the vette and the rails at least on mine Friday.

Out of town right now just south of Canada

There's a Tim Hortons 5 minutes from my mom's house in the Detroit suburbs.

Okay. So if doesn’t cost you anything to tear it apart and start looking what you need though.

Coop is correct. It could be minor, or you could find the whole engine is a write-off. But at least you'd know for sure.

It’s also important to remind yourself that you do like this stuff. You don’t think so right now, but if you didn’t know how to do this you would hate to pay someone and have much less cool stuff.

Yeah I get that, but I'm honestly torn between just wanting it running and wanting to do it myself. I also currently feel like I just want it gone.

Picking up the car on the 2nd to pull the engine myself. We leave for So-Cal tomorrow, and the shop is closed all next week.
