I love the smaller one. I think the z71 version of the Tahoe is smaller or gone all together. I’ve been tempted to do that for my wife. But I guess it hasn’t scraped since I put on that tiny leveling kit.

Uh. Holy crap. Huge difference. Got a tune. Almost too aggressive. Lol. Might need to dial back a bit.

Re: Fix Or Repair Daily
Let's talk shocks for this.
Factory shocks are still on it. Only 40k miles so not a huge deal but 11 yr old bushings are hard, cracked, and just not doing well.
So debating on just swapping in better shocks so good for the next decade.
Thinking something a little softer. Normally I'd say keep same since factory is set up for towing/hauling but I have the air bags in the rear to compensate.
Thoughts or recommendations?

Was reading 5100, fox 2.0, or rancho 9000xl seem to be the go to for the 250

5100s are stiffer than 4600s from what I have read. Foxes have a short life span from what I've read and Ranchos are stiff.

ranchos 9000xl are adjustable in 9 increments. Looks like 5100 is more for lifted and 4600 stock for bilsteins.

Been running the 92 performance. Gained 0.4 mpg so far and performs much better overall.

OLD

NEW

Truck might be 11 years old but not a speck of rust and everything comes apart like it was brand new. Just had a little trouble with the steering stabilizer and had to go buy another pitman puller since lost my old one. Not a rust issue, just in too tight.

Much different ride. It is weird. I feel more road imperfections but it responds much better to them. Feels more planted/controlled without wanting to toss me around as much. Overall I think they are definitely better.

Drove it again today on a section of road that used to toss me around. Handled it amazingly. Definitely a big overall upgrade. That and the tune has fully settled in so nice smooth shifts and extra power/response when I want it. Might do a datalog and send it in to see about any fine tune adjustments that might be worth it.

I mentioned this before, but I saw one in person yesterday. Looks a lot better in person than online. Really would like to mount a winch since I take the subarus off-road and am part of a few groups that need recovery at times. But don't want to do a full big bumper. Might have to order this soon.
