Nah a billet 3.5L stroker with DR1200s will last plenty long enough to get a top speed run. That's what was in Matt M's drag car, and he made multiple 8 and 9 second passes with it. It's like a $15-$20k setup though, and won't be as reliable as say a LS1/2/3 Vette that could do the same thing...

He’s on a 6 speed though right? Never liked the 6 speed. Hardly ever use 6th, too much to change, and reverse sucks to get in to on the 2 I’ve driven.
