I did buy the purge valve as I think that is the issue now that it did that shutter to me. Hopefully that fixes the issue.

You only need to drop the tank if the leak is above the tank. Charcoal canister can be removed. Vent solenoid is common failure.

I will have to take your word for it. That thing looked like a bitch to do with the tank in!

The vent solenoid doesn’t look fun. You happen to remember how that hose comes off? I’m sure it’s odd. If not I will look it up.

Drove home from work, no issues. Was heading back out, misfire everywhere. Took it back home and parked it.

Fucking Chevy.

Changed out the solenoid. Took it for a drive and it was normal the entire time, but it drove from work home the other day just fine as well. So I am gonna drive it a couple times this week to make sure it is or isn’t fixed.

Local guy will put on block off plates to delete the evap, flash the ecu to get rid of it, the rear O2’s, and the top speed limiter, all for 160.

If this didn’t work that’s what’s getting done.

It did it again. Only seems to happen when it’s wet out honestly.

That’s odd.

Cleaned all the ground connectors today. Sanded down and made sure I was getting good grounds. One was barely holding on so I put a new connector on it.

Don’t know if it helped or not but I’m grasping at straws why it would only do it when it’s wet out.

Took it to a guy at work who has a real tech II. He was sure if the ecu flashed it would store a code and my obd reader just couldn’t read it. Well nothing.

This is infuriating. I do have one bad o2 sensor. Gonna replace it, but I have already and I guess it didn’t like the sensor I put in. Maybe it’s loading up?

Could this be an intake gasket leak?

Did it again going into town and coming home. I pulled over and took the gas cap off at one point. It did it again for about a mile and then didn’t do it anymore.

I don’t know if the lines are stopped up or if this problem has anything to do with the evap system. All I know is I only have one code and it’s for the o2 sensor and it’s not gonna cause this. I’m at my wits end as if it were a cyl misfire it would tell me.

Could it be transmission? It certainly feels like engine. Like I’ve felt the difference but this no code thing has me questioning everything. It doesn’t seem to care if it’s any certain gear or tow/haul mode so if it is trans it would have to be torque converter. What’s a bad torque converter feel like?

You're gonna need a smoke machine and way to activate the vent and purge solenoids while watching ftp.

Gm evap is almost as easy to diagnose as Ford is. Chrysler... Fuck those systems.

P2404 2013 FRS. I'm thinking it might be the vacuum pump on the Charcoal canister. Of course that likely means we have to drop the diff :grumble:
