Light truck tires

Really want to replace the truck tires with something stiffer. The p rated ones are too soft for my liking.

Was going to go with bfg ko2 LT265/75/16 but was debating on looking for something more road dedicated.

Truth be told 95%+ of the mileage this will see is on road. Rest gravel roads or the occasional dirt/forest road.

Feel like I probably don't need a true all terrain.

Looking for a stiff tire so prefer lt tires with good wet/dry traction that can handle the occasional gravel road or snowy conditions. I have chains in case of bad snow but good snow condition tires would be nice.

Any idea?

I'm not a fan of running LT tires just to run LT tires. They usually require so much more air pressure to carry the same load as a P-Series making them super rough riding.

Which I prefer... The ones I have now are too soft for my liking. I run lt tires on the jeep which is 2k lbs less and I like how they ride.

Not a need based on actual tire left on the truck. Need based on performance. When it rained the other day it had some pretty bad performance. Really struggled with traction. Also with how soft they are I don't like how it corners or goes over bumps. Feels too unstable.

Can I live with what I have? Yes. But do I feel safe once the rains come and I am driving 200 miles a week in the rain? No.

Also debating on dropping to the 245/75/16. Can run either, but truck came with 245 and my speedo is off right now with the 265. Not a big of enough difference in size to keep 265 when 245 is cheaper.

They also had a hell of a time balancing them apparently. Had a balance and alignment done after Steve changed out my suspension parts and I am already feeling them give a little wobble again.
