Top Gear season 28

Post by Jeff V. »

If you're not watching this, you should be. They've finally cracked the code and have a good cast and a good show. The previous season was decent, but Chris, Freddy and Paddy are really hitting their stride now.

I'll even go so far as to say it's been better than most of the recent stuff with the original trio. These guys actually seem to like each other. They're having fun with each other instead of at each other's expense. They're also not intentionally being over the top buffoons and caricatures of themselves.
I think about all the things we could have done, all the miracles we could have achieved, if we were all just a little bit better than it turns out we are.

BBC America. I kind of lost track of it because I thought they were showing it only a few days after it aired in the UK. But now they're back to showing it in the US ~9 months later. I don't know why they do that.

Next season will be interesting. They moved to a drive in movie style of set due to Covid. I think it might actually be a good thing for them. The audience gets to bring their own cars. It could end up being kind of fun.

There's some good pictures here if you don't mind clicking through to a trashy British tabloid (obligatory PG13+ work content warning)

I don't have cable or anything like that so no BBCA, but maybe I can find it online somewhere.
