I would classify that as 'tall and skinny' wheel
I didn’t notice that till someone else said that. I think it’s no bigger than modern steering wheels though....I hope.

It just needs to be in the context of a car. Sitting on a futon doesn't do it justice lol.

Well after the tracking number he gave me didn’t have it leave for over 3 weeks I contacted him. He finally went down there and said it was just sitting there. I’m not impressed with his caring about something I had to pay so much for.

Anyways tracking number actually looks like it’s moving now.

Finally came in.

First impressions. I thought it was gonna be smaller than stock. 1g’s have a big wheel, bigger than 2g’s. So I was actually hoping a hair smaller than 2g. This one is basically the same size as mine minus the bottom cut out.

It does not feel thick like other have mentioned. It feels skinner than my escape’s and bigger than my 3/s.

It feels well made, it’s nicely wrapped and feels very well built.

Can I transfer my air bag? How do I take off my old wheel? I’ve never done that?

Pictures???

There are several screws around the outside of the wheel. Once removed you can remove the center section. There is one big nut in the middle that holds it all together. Then just smack away with both hands on the back side.

You can't transfer the airbag. Did this one even ship with an actual airbag, or is it just an empty cover?

Empty cover. I don’t care about an air bag but if I could get one that might be nice. Think I could?

Grab a bag out of the junk yard. Just make sure it hasn't already been deployed.

Coop
Air bags are specific for the generation. There are 3 different airbags for the 3/S and none of them will fit. You could get an airbag from the model that wheel came off of (Mitsu Colt I think Jeff said), but if it's too new, it won't have the proper hookup.

To get the airbag off there are 4 bolts that hold it on on the back of the wheel. Then just one electrical connection. Then undo the connections for the horn, cruise, and steering wheel radio controls. Finally there is one nut in the middle to remove. You might get lucky and be able to use your hands to get it off (that's what she said), but I had to get a steering wheel puller (rented from Oreilly). Make sure to not turn the clock spring when the wheel is off, or it could screw it up.

Not a great pic, need more actual light. Plus the wheel isn’t on all the way as I’m making a spacer because it barely rubs the column cover. It would work without one but it made noise the entire time. Lol.

Preview pic.

That looks both thicker and smaller than I expected from your description of it.

That’s what she said? Haha.

I wish it was smaller diameter but my main issue with my stock one was even putting my legs under the stock it will rub. This one will not. So overall I am happy.

Spacer fit perfectly, go coop, but needs to be a little bigger. Like so little I may just run it like it is but kind of bugs me that I need just a little more. I don’t want two washers. I wonder where I can get just a thicker washer without buying a hunk of metal.

I could not stop it from rubbing. Badly. So I had to spend more on this attachment to make it fit perfectly.
