Oh I will gladly admit that I prefer not having cars parked all over the place as a neighbor. One of the things we really like about where we bought is that there are a lot of extra parking spots available so there is no street parking. I don't care about people leaving trash cans outside, grass being too long and stuff like that, but definitely not a fan of seeing old broken down cars day in and day out. Personal preference.

If we build the plan is to not be able to see neighbors at all. That is how I grew up and that is what I would prefer.

He’s not wrong. Except I would rather see a well manicured lawn with good bushes and trimmed and the person has a junk car than just overgrown pos. Now if is kind of a mix of both then I would say drop the car and have an okay house.

I like having nice yards around as well but I realize things happen at times (like for me now with my surgery - I would not be able to maintain a large yard until this stuff is done). Even with cars - occasional car work I have zero issues with. But I personally don't want it on a daily basis. Others are free to be fine with, just not for me. I am home so little (well non-pandemic life) between long work hours and training hours and home needs to be a quiet sanctuary for me or I would go insane.

I for one cant stand cluttered yards (cars or other crap). I may have several cars, but they all run and need little to no maintenance. I also have room to keep them out of sight. If they were dead piles lined up then that would irritate me and they would be gone.

Yeah I’d never want a bunch of junk cars. If I had a parts car I’d strip it and scrap it.

Really not sure what to do with this thing right now.

I honestly enjoy having a 3rd vehicle. Really nice when one of the other two break down. But I also hate just having something sit there and not get used and I don't know when/if I will be driving the XJ again.

Right now it is in the garage with the battery tender on it with no plans at all to drive it anytime soon. I need to drive it about 1x a month to keep things moving and make sure the tires don't get flat spots and move the fuel around, but other than that, it just sits there taking up space when not in use.

Ideally she wants to eventually buy a Kia Seltos and keep the Soul as our 3rd, but that would be AFTER we move. In the meantime I keep really debating on taking everything off/out of the XJ I want to keep and just letting it go to someone who would actually use it.

I would take out the aftermarket radio and swap back in the factory one. Take out the winch and save it. Put the back seat back in. Might look at replacing the front seats. Probably swap tires between the truck and jeep.

I need to talk to the wife again about it.

Then quit taking care of it/driving it. Let her take care of it. Should sort itself out then.
