The Charger cop cars look cool, especially in the two tone black and white.

I had a all black with recessed in the grill light bar charger police car behind me the other day. Looked MEAN!!

Only way you could tell was the blackout black wheels, the hidden light bar, and the reflective only police on the side.

Yeah we have one of those here.. they suck! Bastards.

The cops where I work have 2 Chargers and a Magnum. The guy that usually drives one of the Charger thinks he is seriously tough. I have to laugh every time I see him.
Regardless, I sense some nerd is gonna setup some device in/on/around an overpass and just cause all the cars on a freeway/highway/etc. w/ this to come to a stop and cause horrific traffic jams. I wonder if it will even come on police vehicles, that could be a little fun. Block any signals getting to your own car but stop any police cars from being able to get you.

It's basically a cell phone wired to the ECU. I'm gonna have to look into this more.

the old onstar system was hacked to provide GPS access. i doubt it would be long before someone hacked this new 1 to disable the remove shutdown feature

I was driving on i-86(i think) on my way back from canada and I just got finished fooling around racing with some HOT MILF(like the hottest ive ever seen) but thats another story :) . Anyways I was in my moms 03 trailblazer ext going about 80 right behind this red impala. There was an all black SUV(dont know what kind) with tints, looked completely normal. He was in front of the impala then he pulled into the middle lane to let him pass. Then he went right behind him and BAM all these lights went off out of nowhere. They were all inside the car and completely undetectable. That could have been me. Some of the undercover cop cars are almost impossible to point out till its too late.

O and for the record, if this ever came into play for all cars. My first mod would be to go AEM and get rid of the stock ecu. Nobody but me is controling my car.

It's not that easy. You need look no farther than the problems the 350Z guys are having with getting a working standalone ECU. Most of the systems of the car are tied together, so as soon as you replace the engine controller, you lose your gauge cluster and climate control. Newer cars are even worse.

Yeah, you're in the same boat as we are. It seems everything is tied to everything else. It's making it very hard (read: impossible) for a non-dealership to work on anything now.

The NTSB recently divulged they had secretly funded a project with the U.S. auto makers for the past 5 years, where the auto makers were installing black box voice recorders in 4WD pickups & SUV's in an effort to determine in fatal accidents, the circumstances in the last 15 seconds before the crash.

They were surprised to find in 45 of the 50 states the recorded last words of drivers in 61.2 percent of fatal crashes were, "O Sh!t!"

Only the states of Texas, Tennessee, Alabama, Mississippi and Arkansas, differed where 89.3 percent of the final words were:

"Hold my beer, I'm gonna try somethin."
