If it were slow....would we still think they look good

Vehicles like the ford cobra, GT40, Ferrari, and others. If the they were slow, would we still want them?

No.

I wouldn't spend that kind of money on something slow.

Whenever you use forceful and overt verbal persuasion to try to convince others to see things your way, they're probably not listening to what you say, Instead they're looking for every error in you your logic and mistakes in your facts, all the while constructing counterarguments. Worse still, they don't merely believe you're wrong; they need you to be wrong in order to protect the status quo. 220hp was pretty quick back in 1991.

Performance is only one aspect. Jet Dragsters are as fast as they come, but you dont see any of us wanting to purchase one.

I mean, is owning one of those a thing? Can I? If I had unlimited money I could see myself owning one.

Most people cant afford a Lambo either.

If both had the same monetary value would you pick a Lambo or a Jet Dragster/Funny Car/Top Fuel Dragster?

That’s really hard to pick man. Like I believe that the dragster ext would be much more a thrill than the lambo. The lambo is just a look at me car while the dragster is a “hold my beer” type of car.

I honestly don’t know.

:smartie:

I had to Google the cars listed. All looked like they were more expensive than my house. Assuming some rich guy was going to give me one for free, I still wouldn't even want to pay the insurance on those things
All gave some, some gave all.

America is not at war, the US military is. America is at the mall.

There's nothing quite like the feeling of coming back from a deployment to a warzone.

It's funny though because some of the expensive numbers matching classic muscle/pony cars are not all that fast stock. They were certainly fast for the day but not fast by even mid 90s standards. A Boss 302 was a high 14 second 1/4 car in stock form, Chevelle 454 SS mid to high 13s, etc.

What about the base stealth?

Yes if they were slow and I could afford one I would want one. LS swap it.

Deep down I still want an opal gt just for that reason.

Speed and looks are two different things. One of my favorite cars I owned (75 Monza 2+2) was slow as shit AND a lot of people aren't even fond of its appearance but I'd buy another in a heartbeat if I ran across a clean one and it was the right price.

I also always really liked the final gen Tiburon. It's not fast at all but I'd still rock one.

Delorean is a good example. They look cool, and everyone wants them, but they're generally described as pretty shitty cars. You're not going to get to 88 mph with the stock engine.

I came into this thread to post exactly that about the DMC12.

I still want one.

A Delorean would be fun to drive around in, but it is more for other people than the driver. For sure would attract a lot of attention, if you are into that.

There was an LS swapped DeLorean on Regular Car Reviews. That one seemed pretty fun.
