It's over... Time for a Tree
This is a sentiment I cannot share. Especially after driving one. It has 51hp more and 54lb-ft more torque. Both are noticeable.
5.0 + supercharger will shit all over that 6.2 and get better mileage

Well yeah but that wasn't what were talking about... Besides I'm not about to drop 6k on the carb legal kit.
Re: It's over... Time for a Tree
Not sure why 411 hp but only 10mpg is better than 20mpg and 365 hp. One of those two trucks you could afford to drive every day.

Re: It's over... Time for a Tree
I want it cause it's big and stupid, it also allows me to tow a max of 11,000 lbs vs 9,000 lbs. Finally it's 12mpg city for the 6.2L vs 14mpg city 5.0L :d ontknow:
All of this is hypothetical as I doubt I'll do anything, and if I do I'm unlikely to spend the huge premium for a 6.2L truck.

What does the 3.5 do with a tune?
Bet it’s the best of all worlds.
Yea Ive got some city numbers for you and they arent the same.
In my current commute I tend to get just below or at city ratings. I did on the Explorer and also do in the Sequoia. So either way I'm looking at 11-13mpg out of either engine.

You can uncork the 3.5 EcoBoost to get north of 400 crank hp, but it's not as reliable as either of the V8s. A lot of the 11-12 3.5 EcoBoost trucks have issues with the timing guides starting around 65k miles. Ford changed some of parts for better longevity in 13 or so, but did not fully address the problem until the engine was refreshed in 15.

I read the same thing about my escape and made me happy I bought a 15.

Not power wise. It's the mpg, reliability, cost, etc from what I understand
Re: It's over... Time for a Tree
I still think your numbers are further apart on the 5.0 and 6.2. I’m below 10mpg city on my work truck. My best on hwy is in the 13’s.
The 5.0 was like 16-17 city and 20 hwy.

Re: It's over... Time for a Tree
Yea not exactly apples to apples but the work f250 isn’t a crew cab and is shorter.

Can't really factor that in if it was on a lot. My explorer averages mid 14s but I can get it to display 9 if I let it idle a bunch

Yeah, but I shared it because I was surprised it wasn't lower because it's on a lot.

Re: It's over... Time for a Tree
This seems like a good price even if it has 110k miles
https://www.quality916.net/inventory/vi ... -5-1/2-ft/
Never mind carfax shows it spent the first 100k miles in Saskatchewan
