Just from this description alone, I'm pretty sure I know exactly which guy you're talking about haha.
As do I. His vids come up in my recommended all the time and I can just tell by the title and screen cap that its not something I want to watch. I think I might have clicked once and 30 seconds in knew it was no good.
It seems his followers are just clueless idiots with no real education on automobiles.

It was more a jab because I ask about stuff all the time and they say I should google it. Last couple threads he has said that its a good thread.

Oh another product I swear by, Michelin Tires. Since getting them for my ST, I have now gotten them for my RS, and will be replacing the Bridgestones on my Stealth with Michelins next year (either Pilot Super Sports, or Pilot Sport 4S (Most Likely)). If we keep the Explorer long enough, it will get Michelins the next time around.

Tires depends on the application. Road tires - Michelin. All terrain or mud/offroad - BFG.

Ill give you that. They make an excellent tire that lasts a long time. My truck and my wifes car will be getting them next. Great road handling characteristics and they dont wear out.

I should note that the RS did come with Michelins from the factory. I had to buy a second set of all seasons for it right away.

I won't touch another set of Michelin Tires for something like our Outback. I burned through a set of 60k mile tires in 27k, but because of one long rotation cycle they denied our warranty claim. Their premier line in general is complete garbage.
Their pilot sport line is amazing though. Also BFG is Michelin

Wow. First bad thing I have heard about them. I get them rotated whenever I change the oil or it is in for anything else. I will have to keep an eye on them. Was it a result of driving style or AWD on the Outback?
Re: Products you swear by
I love Michelin’s. But every set does wear fast.

Some of it is obviously the fact my wife commutes on a winding back road. The reviews also show lots of people who have had tread life complaints. Even the guy at Costco said they have seen a lot of amount of people with short tread life on the premier line.

Interesting. I don't plan on keeping the Volt much longer. Maybe another year. But in that time I am sure I will put on over 30k miles on the tires since I get them. Will have to keep an eye on them.
Re: Products you swear by
I ran a set of Michelin Premier's on my Mercedes ML500 and they were fantastic. I had replaced a set of General tires that wore like shit when towing a car with the SUV. But the Michelins wore perfect and lasted way longer. They are still on the SUV with the new owner.

I've got Premiers on my wife's vehicle and my own.
Always been a Michelin fan - that won't change.
