I have yet to see one in the shop. That may be a good thing.

I don't know much about them so whatever Google can tell you is all I can do. The couple people I know with them have no reliability complaints

That is good. Seems google says main complaint is the CVT in the 2016+ models. Not a reliability thing, but they don't like the way it "feels" compared to the older 5 speed auto.

CVT started in the 3.6 in 15 so those people saying it's different in 16+ aren't to be trusted lol

IMO the CVT isn't bad it's just not as good as a 7 or 8spd automatic.

if you're a lesbian I can't think of a single one. :p
Reason

#1. You eat nothing but granolas and berries while vaping cotton candy.
#2. Your sexual orientation is under question.
#3. You buy 3 large dogs from a shelter and love them more than your family.
#4. Open toed shoes with socks become you main jam...or toe jam that is.
otherwise this should cover it. :lol:

I've always looked at the taxes on all kinda of smoking to be the closest thing we'll ever have to a direct tax on stupid.

"oh you want cancer? ok but it'll cost you.".

Glad I didn't buy that Kia. When we went to the coast the wife drove the Soul over to Tillamook then down 101 to Bandon. About 5 1/2 hours and 260 miles. Was a passenger the whole way down and was OK in it. Back started to hurt and legs were getting uncomfortable after about the 2 hour mark so had to make a couple of stops. On the way back home we took the same route and I drove. Back, legs, etc all were hurting after about an hour in the drivers seat. Seems to not be a great "road trip" vehicle for sure. We both were complaining after the 2 hour mark. It is a great commuter car to/from work/school for her, but anything longer than that and we both wish we had more room and more comfortable seats.

Need to see if I can get my hands on an Outback for an afternoon worth of driving and on perhaps a larger Toyota/Lexus.

I know we both fit comfortably and like full size GM, such as a Tahoe, Suburban, Yukon, Silverado, Avalanche, etc. Problem is finding one cheap enough and in good enough condition that makes the poor MPG OK to live with. However gas prices will go up, so finding something comfortable and with good MPG would be ideal. Still haven't found it yet.

You're definitely gonna need to eat the mpg hit and get a full size GM if you want some comfort on long drives

I know.

Problem is, to afford that mpg hit, need to get something for under $10k at the absolute very most and have it still be a reliable daily.

These are a few newer/new things out there that might actually work for me for mpg and comfort, but the cost ends up being too much as well.

As stated before - full size GM = ~13-14 mpg, so need to stay preferably around $7-8k or less, might go up to 9-10 for the "perfect" one.

At 20 could go up to about $15k and be close enough.
25 = $17k
30 = $19k
etc.

Basically starting at 14 mpg and $7000, I would be comfortable adding $2000 to the price of the vehicle for ~ 5 mpg increase and be within a total monthly payment that would not be much different than mine is now.

I have said all this before.

So as I stated - I give up.

Just suck it up and drive the Volt until you have the rest of your life sorted out and have the income to buy something that works :d ontknow:

I mean if your budget requirements require you spending no more per month than you do on the Volt, then maybe it doesn’t make sense to get something new that could change that.
